Film Wins New Award:
"BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE"

The Raymond Scott film won the "Best Documentary Feature" award from the Atlantic City CinefestThe doc, titled DECONSTRUCTING DAD, has garnered rave reviews from LEONARD MALTINTHE ONION, and LA WEEKLY. Previous honors include the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival "Critic's Choice Award," the Park City Film Music Festival "Director's Choice Gold Medal Award," and it was selected by the Don’t Knock the Rock Film & Music Festival in Los Angeles to be among the "Year’s Five Best Music Docs."

Directed by Raymond Scott's son, STAN WARNOW, and co-produced by JEFF WINNER (me), the documentary features: JOHN WILLIAMS, multi-Academy Award®-winning movie soundtrack composer (JAWS, STAR WARS, HARRY POTTER), MARK MOTHERSBAUGH, Emmy Award®-winning movie & TV score writer, & co-founder of DEVO, DJ SPOOKY, aka PAUL D. MILLER, turntablist, producer, & author, and others. Below is Stan holding the newest award statuette in Atlantic City, last night:

  2. Total agreement. Stan didn't just make a great doc, he's been an ambassador for the film all over the world for the past three years, logging thousands of frequent flyer miles. Hard work followed by harder work! Congrats, well-earned.

  3. Congrats! I have been a Raymond Scott fans since high school (a long time ago) is this coming to Chicago anytime soon? Who do I have to bribe or threaten to get it played here?
